Lindy Colette Bedard, an American born French Canadian, raised about an hour north-west of Detroit in Fenton Michigan, began her career in comedy long before she made a conscious decision to do so. After making classmates, friends and co-workers laugh at her hilarious rantings about her English-challenged parents, growing up Catholic (which she denounced after visiting the Vatican, a.k.a. "Walt Jesus World"), and laughing at the antics of her older brother, she went on to earn her B.A. in English Language and Literature intending to become a lawyer. But after watching one too many re-runs of Matlock, she decided to escape the rat-race of the city and move to a quiet town in northern Michigan. She purchased a cinema, deciding that watching people buy $8 popcorn would provide a good laugh. Her extreme coffee habit led to her decision to open up a coffee house, figuring it would be more conducive than dating a high school kid who worked at Starbucks. Both businesses she operated simultaneously, which was like having a colonoscopy and a root canal at the same time with no anesthesia. Her ability to make customers and employees laugh at the obstacles and ridiculous requests from customers they encountered led her quest to begin doing open mics at local restaurants and clubs and eventually took her act down state, hitting the clubs in the Detroit and surrounding area. After taking a comedy class she knew she was hooked. She was a Disc Jockey for WBMI radio 105.5 with her own show, the 'P.M. Overdrive' with Linleroq every afternoon. She’s also emceed for comedians such as Kathleen Madigan, Eric Lyden and Connie Ettinger. Now with her businesses sold, she is pursuing her dream and loving every minute of it. Her hilarious topics such as her childhood, weight loss, relationship issues, and mental illness awareness will keep you laughing with her.
